Kenkey seller's in Accra has suggested the pepper that comes on with meal will no longer be free.

 Kenkey is one of the popular indigenous meal from the Ga ethics group made from fermented white corn . It has always been a meal that favor people without means .

Accra kenkey which used to be a meal for poor is now expensive. A kenkey seller by name Naa okaley told 1news that a bag of pepper alone is now GH 800 cedis.

Recently research organization kenkey base said kenkey sells for a high at GH 5 cedis per ball in Accra . Some of the areas in Accra in sells kenkey has been noted to sell as low as GH 1.50 cedis per ball despite the persistent inflation. 

Kenkey seller's in Accra said they are now going to sell pepper to their clients when you buy kenkey.

A kenkey base company limited at Adabraka a smaller said she could not serve her costumers with as much pepper as they desired.

She said if you want to enjoy a proper kenkey meal ,you must have about GH 60 cedis because fish has also become expensive in the market.
